Here, we are—many of us, baby boomers—“aging!” We are among those who are healthier in our later years, and living longer. We are nowhere finished living, contributing. There’s more, much more. And what does that look like? Here, we are plowing new ground. In his book From Aging to Saging, Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi explains “spiritual eldering,” a new model of late-life developing called “saging,” that enables older people to become spiritually radiant, physically vital and socially responsible “elders of the tribe.” And, ironically, paradoxically, we are reaching this evolutionary development just in the knick of time!
On this retreat, we will explore spiritual eldering and the methods and techniques that allow us to develop into sages. Pat Hoerth will lead.
